Kawhi Leonard, Clippers face uncertain future after NBA Draft

Are the Clippers and Kawhi Leonard nearing a breakup?

Who Keaton Wagler becomes in the NBA remains to be seen, but the LA Clippers' logic behind making him the No. 5 pick is sound.

"The way we defined how we were going to select the player at five was who has the best chance to be the best player we can get on the next Clipper contending team?" Lawrence Frank said on draft night. "That was the question we were trying to answer."

Still just 19, Wagler spent one season at Illinois, where he averaged 17.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists, shooting 44.5 percent from the field and 39.7 percent from three. A 6-foot-6 guard, Wagler has strength gains to make, which Frank admitted, but the team is confident he'll mature physically by the time he's tasked with contributing on a championship contender.

But will Kawhi Leonard be in LA when that time comes?
